Casale Marittimo and Bibbona are two fine examples of medieval towns that are only 3 kms away.
In 2003 Casale Marittimo was honoured with the Orange Flag by the TCI, (Italian Touring Club), which is an officiai recognition of the high quality of service offered to tourists.
Other medieval towns are also withín easy to reach, such as Castagneto Carducci, Bolgheri and Suvereto, just to name a few. In the Bolgheri district renown wines are produced.
